"Kapaz" football club has played its thousandth official match in the years of independence.
"Report" reports, citing the press service of the Professional Football League, that the IV round of the Misli Premier League was remarkable for the Ganja representative.
The western club lost the jubilee match to "Araz-Nakhchivan" with a score of 0:2.
From 1992 to the present, "Kapaz" has played 686 matches in the Premier League (formerly the top division), 177 in the I League (formerly the first division), 110 in the national cup, 14 in European cups, and 13 in the Commonwealth Cup.
The team has won 415 matches in these meetings. The team, which has 209 draws, has lost 376 times.
"Kapaz", which suspended its activities for three seasons only in 2006-2009, lags behind only "Qarabağ" and "Neftçi" in the number of games in the years of independence.
It should be noted that "Kapaz" played its first match in the years of independence against "Turan" on May 3, 1992. The representative of Ganja won the opening day of the first national championship with a score of 2:1.
