An interesting incident occurred during the "Kapaz" - "Gabala" match within the 26th round of the Misli Premier League.
Idman.Biz reports that in the 80th minute of the match, after Rahman Hajiyev suffered a leg injury, the team's doctor carried him off the field in his arms, without waiting for the stretcher. These images have been widely circulated on social networks.
Elman Mammadov, the hero of the event, spoke about the episode. The doctor stated that he would have done the same if another player had been in Rahman's place.
"I did this so that there would be no loss of time in that episode and so that I could intervene more easily. Sometimes sudden decisions create interesting moments, and this is one of them. Every member of our team is dear to me," he said in a statement to futbolinfo.az.
Mammadov recalled that a similar incident had happened before: "In the cup match with Turan Tovuz, Ohori's leg was injured and he had to leave the field. While going to the locker room, he first put his hand on my shoulder and took a few steps. But because his pain was so great, he asked me to carry him, and I helped him and carried him on my back."
It should be noted that the "Kapaz" - "Gabala" match ended with a 2:0 victory for the guests.
