Erkin Ibrahimov, a member of the Board of Directors of "Kapaz" and advisor on sports issues, shared his thoughts on the meeting with the management of the Greek club "Panathinaikos".
The official of the Ganja club gave an explanation to "Report" about this.
"The initiative came from Namig Gadirov, the chairman of the Board of Directors. He has connections. We met with the club manager. This meeting was more of an introductory nature. If a cooperation agreement was signed with the Slovenian club "Sele", then only prospects were discussed with the management of "Panathinaikos". We talked more about lower age groups. On the same day, we watched the games of the lower age groups together. We also discussed work principles, prospects for player exchange in the future. In addition, we also talked about the participation of teams from lower age groups in some tournaments," he said.
A member of the Board of Directors of "Kapaz" said that they are interested in the scouting system of "Panathinaikos":
"As for the main teams, it is true that the statuses and budgets are very different now. However, scouting principles are the same everywhere. We were interested in Panathinaikos' scouting system. We talked about the processes from the proposal of a football player to the signing of a contract. Many football players of the Greek club play on loan in different clubs. They have young football players and we will review them as well".
E. Ibrahimov emphasized that there will be cooperation with other clubs as well:
"There is no issue of cooperation with another club in the near future yet. But it will happen. That is, this is chosen by the management as a strategic goal. Namig muellim attaches great importance to these issues. Now is such a period that we are more focused on our club. Nevertheless, there will be occasional collaborations. We have already started to see some benefits from cooperation with Sele. A meeting with Sele officials is also planned after arriving in Baku".
It should be noted that cooperation issues between the management of "Kapaz" and "Panathinaikos" were discussed. Earlier, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Slovenian club "Sele".
