A Russian delegation will soon travel to Azerbaijan in connection with the CIS Games.
"Report" reports with reference to Russian media that the Russian Minister of Sports Mikhail Degtyarev announced this during his speech at one of the sessions of the Eastern Economic Forum.
"Our delegation is preparing to visit Azerbaijan. The CIS countries' games will be held there. The Minister of Sports of Azerbaijan, Farid Gaibov, personally invited me. I will make a separate decision regarding my visit," M. Degtyarev said.
It should be noted that the III CIS Games will be held from September 28 to October 8, 2025 in seven cities of Azerbaijan - Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Shaki, Goygol and Khankendi. The opening ceremony will take place on September 28, and the closing ceremony on October 8 at the Ganja city stadium. Competitions will be held in 12 venues in 23 sports.
