"Of course, I felt happy after the team qualified for the Champions League group stage." Qarabag footballer Kady Borges said in an interview with the Hungarian publication M4 Sport, Sport24.az reports.
The 29-year-old Brazilian winger shared his thoughts on his former team, Ferencváros:
"I think respect should be above all else. But it wasn't like that there. Leaving the club left me with bad feelings. I'm not saying this because of the footballers. I got along well with everyone there. If a player doesn't see value in that place, he feels he has to prove himself. But then I realized I didn't have to do that. I realized I would be valued elsewhere."
He also spoke about qualifying for the Champions League group stage: "There was a big celebration after the final whistle. My family, fans, club staff and we footballers were expecting to be among the best in the Champions League. The best clubs in the world will compete here. We have to show ourselves and try to play well."
It should be noted that Qarabag defeated Ferencváros in the Champions League play-off stage based on the results of two matches - 3:1. 2:3.
