The identity of the new interim head coach of "Shamkir" has been revealed.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to sportinfo.az that Vugar Nadirov, who left his post a few days ago, has been replaced by his assistant.
The team has been entrusted to Kamran Ismayilov. The young specialist, who started working here two weeks ago instead of Rufat Guliyev, will remain in office at least until the winter break.
Whether he continues his activity will depend on the results he achieves during these 2 months.
Nadirov discussed the situation with the management after the 0:1 defeat at home against "Garadag Lokbatan" in the 6th round of the II League and ended cooperation.
"Shamkir", who scored 9 points in six rounds, is currently in the 6th place of the II League tournament table. Nadirov has been at the helm of the western representative since the summer of 2024.
Under his leadership, the team finished the 2024/25 season in 5th place. Although he left the post of head coach in the summer of this year, he later returned to "Shamkir".
The western representative's defeat to "Shaki" before "Garadag" directly affected the decision of local functionaries.
In fact, Nadirov did not leave his job willingly. He was warned in advance that if he did not get a positive result in these two games, they would part ways.
However, the young coach resisted even after the match with "Garadag" and expressed his intention to stay here at least until the winter break.
Why not, he was paid a high salary in "Shamkir". If we take it on the scale of the II League, they do not give 2000 manats salary to every coach. Plus 500 manats for house rent.
Nadirov, citing his participation in "A" category courses, asked for a minimum of 2 more months. Seeing the team heading towards the abyss, the management did not give the specialist another "carte blanche".
He will just get paid this month. Not completely. Since he worked for 21 days in October, he will be paid somewhere around 1400-1500 manats.
