Kakhaber Tskhadadze shared his thoughts on "Shafa"

"I thank my players. It was important to advance to the next stage in the cup. There is fatigue in the team after the difficult game with "Araz-Nakhchivan". We knew that the first minutes would be difficult. "Shafa" is a very good team. They defend compactly. After scoring a goal, we calmed down. The opponent took advantage of this and equalized. It seemed that some of our players were not ready to play against a First League club. You can't look down on the opponent. We are on a difficult schedule. We have a game against "Turan Tovuz" ahead. These victories will give us confidence. We have 3 important games until the winter break. We will try to score maximum points."

Sport24.az reports that these words were said by the head coach of "Gabala" Kakhaber Tskhadadze at a press conference after the 1/8 final match of the Azerbaijan Cup with "Shafa" (2:1). He also answered questions from journalists.

- In the last minutes, "Shafa" was playing in attack. Did the opponent force you to retreat into defense, or was there complacency in the team?

- The losing team inevitably rushes forward. At those moments, we had to possess the ball. We also had opportunities in the last minutes. We just couldn't use them. Tension arises when you can't take advantage of opportunities. Our team is young. This is normal. "Shafa" is a Premier League level team.

- How do you see Gabala's prospects in the Cup?

- I am quite optimistic. We will fight to the end in the Cup as well.

- Will you strengthen the team in winter?

- There is a 100 percent need to strengthen the team. We all know this. We are also working on this. However, we must fight in all games.
