Gabala's head coach, Kakhaber Tskhadadze, held a press conference after the match against Kapaz in the 26th round of the Misli Premier League. The experienced specialist expressed his satisfaction with the important three points gained.
Idman.Biz reports that Tskhadadze stated that although tension was felt from the first minutes, they played better after the break.
"I told my players that you can perform better, you just have to believe in yourselves. Every game is like a final for us," said the head coach.
Touching upon the recent resignation news in the press and the fans' protests, the Georgian coach explained how he spent this tense period:
"When the team loses, the coach is to blame, that's our job. I met with the fans and asked them not to chant resignation slogans. Because when the players read about whether the coach is leaving or staying, the atmosphere inside the team deteriorates. The management decides my fate. The meeting of the club's director Sabuhi Safiyarlı with the players had a positive impact on the team."
Tskhadadze also commented on the championship of the Azerbaijan national team in the "FIFA Series 2026" international tournament. He emphasized that this success achieved under the leadership of Aykhan Abbasov is very important from a psychological point of view:
