The fate of the match was decided in the 64th minute by "Juventus" defender Juan Cabal, who came on as a substitute. Five minutes later, Bologna's Norwegian defender, Torbjørn Heggem, received a red card and left the field, forcing the home side to continue the game with a man down.
Thanks to this victory, "Juventus" increased their point total to 26 and rose to fifth place in the standings. "Bologna" is sixth with 25 points.
