Jurgen Klopp is one of the most prominent coaches of the 21st century.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, his coaching career began 25 years ago, when the German specialist coached Mainz in the 20th round of the second Bundesliga against Duisburg.
The 1-0 victory was the beginning of a seven-game unbeaten streak for the team under the leadership of 33-year-old Klopp.
Mainz took third place in the 2003/04 season, achieving a historic promotion to the German top league.
More than 20 years later, Klopp won Bundesliga titles with Borussia Dortmund, the long-awaited championship with Liverpool and, of course, the Champions League with the Mersisiders.
But in 2024, Jurgen called his promotion to the Bundesliga with Mainz his greatest achievement: "You see, that day was one of the best days of my life, because it meant so much to everyone around me and, of course, to me too."
