Club presidential elections will be held at Benfica in the near future. Candidates for the post currently held by the legendary Rui Costa are presenting their election programs.
One of these people, Cristovao Carvalho, has promised to remove Benfica's current head coach Bruno Lage from his position and invite Jurgen Klopp to replace him.
"Bruno Lage will not stay after his contract expires. I need a high-level coach who has already won the Champions League and wants to win the Champions League with Benfica," Carvalho said.
He added that only one name comes to mind: "Jurgen Klopp. He even once said that Benfica is a big club he would like to coach one day. The person who says that deserves to be in this club more than others."
