Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt will leave the club in the summer.
According to Idman.Biz, Borussia's sporting director Lars Ricken announced the news.
"After open talks, we agreed that the contract would not be extended.
He has played hundreds of games for Borussia. I think we can only be grateful to him. He has spent seven years with us and has sometimes been criticised. Today he has set a new goal.
I have always valued his achievements highly. He turns 30 in a few weeks and we may start to move in a slightly different direction, so this may be an opportunity for both parties," Ricken told Sky Sport.
Brandt has been with the Dortmund club since 2019. He has played 297 games for the club in all competitions and scored 56 goals.
