After the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the 6th round of the Champions League, Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham spoke about the crisis at the Madrid club and rumors about the resignation of head coach Xabi Alonso. The English footballer made a statement to TNT Sports about this:
Do Real players support Xabi Alonso? 100 percent. The coach is fantastic. I personally have a great relationship with him and I know many of the players do too. After some unsuccessful games, we had discussions within the team and we didn't make a bad impression in the last two matches. No one gives up, no one complains or whines. We accept these challenges and continue to fight.
Regardless of what's going on outside the locker room, we're still trying to understand the situation. We know this noise doesn't help us.
We have everything we need to fix the situation. Maybe we need a little luck. Maybe there's something we still need to discuss internally. Just because we're in bad shape doesn't mean the season is over for us."
It should be noted that the Madrid club, which lost to Celta (0:2) in the last round of La Liga, also lost to Manchester City in the 6th round of the Champions League.
