Benfica head coach Jose Mourinho has spoken about how his career has been received and how his achievements in recent years have been evaluated. Sport24.az reports that the Portuguese expert made a statement to A Bola about this:
"The only place where I didn't make history was Fenerbahçe. But the reality of that club was a little different from the standards I was used to.
Lately, I'm told more often that I'm winning fewer trophies than before. That may be true. But how many coaches in the last five years have led their teams to the finals of European cups? I don't think many - maybe two or three. I did it.
I am often judged not for my current situation, but for the titles I won in the past. It's their problem, not mine anymore."
It should be noted that Jose Mourinho last won the UEFA Conference League with Roma in 2022.
