Jose Mourinho could work in Spain again. Sport24.az, citing the Portuguese publication "Record", reports that the specialist, currently "at the helm" of Benfica, is among the candidates to coach Real Madrid.
Alvaro Arbeloa, who replaced Xabi Alonso this season, is highly likely to leave his post at the end of the 2025/26 season.
It should be noted that Mourinho was Real Madrid's head coach from 2010-2013. Under his leadership, the team won the Spanish League (2011/12), the Copa del Rey (2010/11), and the Spanish Super Cup (2012). The 63-year-old Portuguese signed a contract with Benfica in September 2025, which runs until June 2027.
