The new head coach of "Benfica", Jose Mourinho, commented on his appointment to the Lisbon club.
Idman.biz reports that the specialist has signed a two-year contract with the club.
"I have a lot of emotions, but experience helps to manage them. I want to thank you for trusting me. I feel proud.
There is no Portuguese who does not know the history and traditions of this club. I am the coach of one of the biggest clubs in the world. I want to focus my attention on this mission, which I find interesting.
It has been 25 years since I worked at "Benfica". But I didn't come here to celebrate the 25th anniversary of my career. I want to say that none of the big clubs I have coached have given me as much honor, responsibility and motivation as "Benfica". I will not make empty promises. I will live with this mission. We have a game in 48 hours and nothing is more important than that right now," Mourinho said at a press conference.
