"Shamakhi" was displaying aggressive football.
Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by the head coach of "Imishli", Jorj Kaskilya, after the match with "Shamakhi" in the XI round of the Misli Premier League.
The match held at the Shamakhi city stadium ended with a 1:0 victory for the home team.
The head coach claimed that the ball touched the opponent's hand during the goal they conceded:
"We have some dissatisfaction with the referee's decisions. After watching the replay of the goal episode, we believe that the ball touched Karim Rossi's hand. Despite this, after the goal, our team tried to recover the game and achieve a draw. We made changes, tried to open the game, but we could not achieve the desired result."
He evaluated the meeting: "The game was intense. "Shamakhi" was displaying aggressive football. In the first half, we were able to gain some advantage. We possessed the ball more and controlled the game. True, this advantage was not fully reflected in the shots on goal, but we made a good impression in terms of keeping the ball. We were able to resist "Shamakhi"'s aggressive style of play, but their tight defense did not give us enough opportunities in attack.
In the second half, "Shamakhi" started playing more aggressively, and this changed the rhythm of the game. As a result of their pressure, our midfield line retreated a little, which allowed the opponent to have more possession of the ball. We knew that "Shamakhi" takes good advantage of standard situations, and one of these episodes resulted in a goal. This is football, today we lost, and tomorrow we will continue our fight for victory."
