Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas has spoken about the club's forward, Lionel Messi.
Idman.Biz reports that he explained the need for the club's sponsorship agreements.
"The reason I need sponsors - and world-class sponsors - is because the players are expensive. I pay Messi 60-70 million euros a year. Adding all the bonuses as well. But he's worth every penny," Mas was quoted as saying by A Bola newspaper.
The Argentinian star is the second highest-paid footballer in the world after Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi joined Inter Miami in 2023 and has since made 90 appearances and scored 79 goals for the Florida club.
