"Imishli" Bizon advanced to the 1/8 finals of the Azerbaijan Cup by defeating "Garadagh Lokbatan" 3:2 in the second qualifying round. Sport24.az reports that the head coach of the regional representative, Jorge Casquilha, gave a statement to the club's press service after the match:
"It was a real cup game. Our team started the match well, creating two real goal opportunities early on, but we couldn't take advantage of them. The opponent opened the scoring with a penalty awarded after a very dubious decision. This episode created some tension in the team and we had difficulty maintaining our composure for a while. We tried to equalize before the break, but we couldn't."
"The changes we made in the second half brought a new breath to the game. There were many goal opportunities created, but for a while it seemed like the ball didn't want to go in. Nevertheless, we fought until the end and won 3:2, qualifying for the next round."
"I would especially like to note the game of the "Garadagh Lokbatan" team. They also fought until the end and were worthy opponents."
