Former Liverpool and Newcastle star Jonjo Shelvey has announced the end of his professional football career at the age of 34. The experienced player, who ended his 18-year career, immediately started working in a new role.
Idman.Biz reports that Shelvey has been appointed as the head coach of Arabian Falcons, which competes in the Second Division of the United Arab Emirates.
The English midfielder, who has been playing for this team since September 2025, decided to hang up his boots and move to the technical area after just eight games.
It should be noted that Shelvey will lead former Manchester United player Ravel Morrison in his new position. The club's sporting director is former Crystal Palace member Jason Puncheon.
