Former Liverpool striker Joe Cole has shared his thoughts on the current state of the Reds' attack. Sport24.az reports that the veteran footballer made a statement to Goal.com:
"If Arne Slot stays in charge, they will need another striker. They need someone who can immediately strengthen the attack (while Hugo Ekitike recovers from injury), especially if they qualify for the Champions League. This is a difficult task for Liverpool.
Perhaps it makes sense to look for an experienced striker. For example, 37-year-old Robert Lewandowski. He would probably be interested in this challenge and probably thinks he is a better player than Isak and can adapt. He can easily play 30 games.
Either that, or the purchase of a very talented 17-18 year old expensive player. But there is still a risk: can this young player be a good replacement for Isak? "It won't be an easy decision for Liverpool anyway, but they will have to take this step."
