Joan Laporta, president of the Spanish football club "Barcelona", has announced his intention to extend the contracts of head coach Hansi Flick and star striker Robert Lewandowski.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to "Marca" that the club leader is very satisfied with the work of the German specialist.
"Yes, I want him to be the coach of "Barcelona" in the coming years as well. He has all the necessary qualities. Flick is serious, knowledgeable, professional and disciplined. He finds common ground with the players, understands what this club means and feels comfortable here. He has created a very positive atmosphere, has a strong personality and a clear character. I admire him," said Laporta.
Laporta also did not hide his special affection and gratitude towards Robert Lewandowski:
"First of all, he is an excellent player and scores goals. On the other hand, as a sign of gratitude to great players, I always extend the contract for another year. I am very grateful to Lewandowski, because he left his beloved "Bavaria" and came here at a difficult time for the club. He sacrificed a lot for the sake of "Barcelona". If he wants, I would very much like him to stay with us for another year."
