The president of the Spanish club "Barcelona", Joan Laporta, has resigned from his post in order to participate in the elections to be held on March 15.
"Report" reports with reference to the official website of the club that the decision was formalized at today's meeting of the Board of Directors.
In accordance with the charter, along with J. Laporta, several members of the Board of Directors - vice presidents Elena Fort, Rafael Escudero, as well as Ferran Oliver, Josep Maria Albert, Xavi Barbani, Miguel Camps, Aureli Mas, Xavi Puig and Joan Soler Ferre also resigned to participate in the election process.
Until June 30, the club will be managed by President Rafael Yuste, Vice President and Secretary Josep Cubells, Treasurer Alfons Castro and other members of the Board of Directors (Josep Ignasi Masia, Angel Riudalbas, Joan Sole i Sust, Sisco Puyol).
It should be noted that "Barcelona" currently leads the Spanish La Liga with 54 points.
