La Liga president Javier Tebas could be removed from office for abuse of power.
İdman.Biz reports this with reference to AS.
According to the publication, Miguel Angel Galan, president of the Association for Transparency and Democracy in Sport, has filed a complaint with the Sports Administrative Body regarding Tebas's actions.
Earlier, the president of the Spanish league stated that he was ready to pay 50 euros to anyone who reported pirate La Liga broadcasts in bars and other public places. In addition, the official is accused of blackmail, as La Liga offered bar owners the option of avoiding legal proceedings if they compensated for financial losses. If the complaint is upheld, Tebas could be removed from office.
In August 2025, Galan submitted an investigation to the Spanish Higher Sports Council in which La Liga president Javier Tebas was accused of disclosing confidential information about "Barcelona", that is, committing criminal acts.
