La Liga president Javier Tebas has accused Real Madrid president Florentino Perez of lying.
Idman.Biz reminds that Florentino Perez had previously accused La Liga and Javier Tebas of trying to harm Real Madrid.
"He (Perez) distorted some facts, and others were complete lies. What worries me the most is the possible transfer of 5% of the shares to another owner, which he blamed La Liga for... That's a lie. I said it last year, and I'll say it again. It's not true, there are witnesses.
In fact, it was the opposite. We agreed with the government on a draft sports law that incorporates La Liga's rights won in court against Real Madrid. He changed it. When the draft was approved by the Council of Ministers, we negotiated amendments with parliamentary parties to support the League's legal victory. But in August, Perez met this time with Albert Feijo (member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies – ed.) and convinced the People's Party to withdraw the amendments.
But that's not all. Later, the amendments were submitted to Congress, and the text remained in accordance with the agreement. Minister Iceta and Minister of Culture Ernest Urtasun are witnesses. We did not make any amendments; he (Perez) made the amendments, and we returned to our original position to defend what was won in court, which position does not imply any confiscation. He's lying. He can use it as an excuse or whatever he wants. I don't intend to interfere in Real Madrid's internal affairs, but lying is unacceptable, and Florentino lied," Tebas said.
