"Leon" midfielder James Rodriguez will not renew his contract with the Mexican club. Sport24.az reports that insider Fabrizio Romano shared this on his "X" social media account. His current contract is until December 31, 2025.
According to the source, the 34-year-old footballer, whose contract with the Mexican club expires in December this year, is looking for a club where he can play constantly in order to be included in the Colombian national team at the World Cup next year.
It should be noted that Colombia secured a ticket to the World Cup by collecting 28 points in the qualifying round and finishing third in the group. DÇ-2026 could be the 3rd prestigious tournament in which James will participate.
