James Milner Sets Premier League Record: Most Appearances

Brighton midfielder James Milner has set a Premier League record for most appearances.

İdman.Biz reports that the 40-year-old player started for his team in the match against Brentford in the 27th round of the English Premier League. This is his 654th appearance in the competition.

With this record, Milner surpasses Gareth Barry, who has 653 appearances. The top five also include Ryan Giggs (632), Frank Lampard (609), and David James (572).

Milner has played the most games for Liverpool (230). He has also played for Leeds, Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Manchester City.
