Brighton midfielder James Milner appeared in specially made boots in the 27th round of the English Premier League in his team's 2-0 victory over Brentford. Sport24.az reports that the game was managed by Australian referee Jarred Gillett.
For 40-year-old Milner, this match was his 654th in the Premier League. To mark this, the midfielder came onto the pitch wearing boots with the number 654 on the heel.
It should be noted that previously, the list of players with the most appearances in the English Premier League was headed by English midfielder Gareth Barry (653). The top five also include midfielders Ryan Giggs (632), Frank Lampard (609) and goalkeeper David James (572).
