Jamaica national team head coach Steve McClaren has resigned. Sport24.az reports that the reason for this was the failure of his team to qualify for the final stage of the 2026 World Cup.
After a goalless draw with Curacao in Group B of the Americas qualifying round, Jamaica no longer has a chance to participate in the main stage of the 2026 World Cup.
It should be noted that Curacao finished the qualifying round as the leader with 12 points. The Jamaican national team took second place with 11 points. Trinidad and Tobago were third with 9 points, and Bermuda finished last - 4th with 0 points.
