Sport24.az reports that these words were said by Jalal Huseynov, a football player of the Azerbaijani national team.
The defender shared his thoughts on the game in which they defeated Saint Lucia (6:1) in the "FIFA Series – 2026" international tournament:
"We tried to play well and win. I think we played well too."
Huseynov touched upon the end of the team's winless streak:
"The teams we faced before were tough opponents. These are already behind us. Now we need victories very much."
The football player emphasized that they want to win in tomorrow's match as well:
"We intend to continue our good game. Victories give the team extra motivation."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will face Sierra Leone again on March 30.
