AFFA Technical Director Jahangir Hasanzada believes that Azerbaijan's U-21 national team will perform successfully in official matches as well.
The expert stated this in an interview with "Report".
He spoke about the successful performance of the team in recent matches:
"The work of the new coaching staff of the U-21 national team is noticeable in a positive way. Under the leadership of head coach Aykhan Abbasov, the team is doing its best to show maximum results. The results recorded in the last games are a clear example of this. The team has lost only once in the last 4 matches. It is understandable that each of them was a friendly match. However, in any case, the results are satisfactory. God willing, we expect the successful performance to continue in official matches. The current performance of the players gives reason to hope for high results in official matches as well."
J.Hasanzada noted that the motivation of the players in the U-21 national team is high:
"The high motivation of the players does not go unnoticed. Some of them were part of the team in the last qualifying round. These players participated in several difficult matches. Everyone who wears the national team jersey understands the responsibility."
It should be noted that Azerbaijan's U-21 national team lost to Belarus 1:3 in a test match in Baranovichi. In the next game, the team agreed to a goalless draw with Montenegro at the Mehdi Huseynzade Sumgayit City Stadium.
