Al-Ahli and England national team striker Ivan Toney has been arrested by police on suspicion of punching a man in a London bar. Sport24.az reports with reference to The Sun that the victim grabbed Toney by the neck to take a selfie with him. After that, the 29-year-old footballer headbutted him.
According to witnesses, the person injured by Toney suffered a broken nose and finger, and facial injuries.
The footballer was released on bail, but the investigation is ongoing.
It should be noted that Toney was last called up to the England national team in June of this year. This season, he has appeared in 18 matches for Al-Ahli, scoring 12 goals and providing one assist.
