37-year-old Ivan Rakitic has been appointed technical director of "Hajduk", "Zira"'s opponent in the Conference League.
Idman.biz reports that the press service of the Split club has released information about this.
The former Barcelona midfielder ended his career at "Hajduk" at the end of the 2024/2025 season. He played a major role in Split becoming the bronze medalist of the Croatian championship.
Rakitic, who spent most of his career at Barcelona and Sevilla, scored 15 goals in 106 games for the Croatian national team from 2007-2019.
It should be noted that the first leg of the stage between "Zira" and "Hajduk" will take place on July 23 in Baku, and the return match will take place on July 31 in Split.
