"I think Hajduk is the favourite of the pair. But that doesn't matter that much." These words were said by Ivan Brkic, the former goalkeeper of "Neftchi", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper, who currently wears the uniform of the Polish representative "Motor", shared his thoughts on the "Zira" - "Hajduk" (Croatia) duel to be held in the II qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.
The Croatian player said that the Split representative has not been able to show himself much in Europe in recent years:
"The team has sometimes lost to very low-level clubs. "Zira" should be careful against Marko Livaja. In my opinion, and according to many others, he is a world-class football player."
Brkic added that "Hajduk" fans create a beautiful atmosphere: "I think "Zira" has never experienced such an atmosphere before."
It should be noted that the first match between the teams will be held on July 23 at "Neftchi Arena", and the return match will be held on July 31 at "Polyud" stadium in Split.
