"I think this is a good transfer because he is a good football player and a good person." These words were said to Sport24.az by former "Neftchi" goalkeeper Ivan Brkic.
The Croatian goalkeeper, who currently plays for Polish representative "Motor", has been a teammate with the Azerbaijani national team's striker.
The 29-year-old player said that he was familiar with Renat Dadashov beforehand:
"We met in Baku. He was good friends with Eddi Israfilov in the Azerbaijani national team and we met once. But Eddi told me a lot of good things about him. I think this is a good transfer and he will definitely help us. He played for "Radomyak" last season, and our club's coaches also know him, scout him, like him, and that's why they brought him here."
It should be noted that Ivan Brkic moved to "Motor" after leaving "Neftchi". Renat Dadashov signed a contract with the Polish club yesterday.
