The Italy-Israel match, held as part of the 8th round of the European qualifying stage for the 2026 World Cup, has concluded.
İdman.Biz reports that the match took place at the "Blunergi" stadium in Udine. The match ended with a 3-0 victory for the home team.
In the 45+2nd minute, Italy's forward Mateo Retegui opened the scoring with a penalty. In the 74th minute, Retegui scored his second goal of the match. In the 90+3rd minute, defender Gianluca Mancini put the final point in the game – 3:0.
The other members of this group, Estonia and Moldova, faced each other on the former's field. The match ended in a 1:1 draw.
The goals were scored by Kait in the 12th minute for the Estonians and Bodişteanu in the 64th minute for the Moldovans.
In the next round of the qualifying stage, Italy will face Moldova (November 13). On the same day, Estonia will be a guest of Norway.
