The Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan has hosted the country's amputee football team. Sport24.az reports that this was announced on the embassy's official "X" social network page.
"The Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan was honored to host the Israeli football team for people with disabilities for dinner at the Ambassador's residence as part of the tournament held in Baku. We congratulated the team on their impressive performance to date and wished them success in the upcoming games. Yesterday, the team proudly finished the tournament in second place. This is a great achievement!" - the post said.
It should be noted that the Israeli amputee football team finished the League of Nations Group C in Baku with a silver medal. The team finished second in the tournament table, 1 point less than the leader Ukraine with 9 points. The third place was taken by Azerbaijani football players with 7 points.
