"The place we currently occupy in the league table is the result of some instability and minor nuances. We have shown good games during the season, but we have not been able to manage the process as we wanted in decisive moments. Everyone in the team knows that we have potential, and the main goal is to turn the game shown on the field into real points."
These words were said by Gabala football player Isaac Amoah.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian defender also spoke about the preparations during the winter break.
"During the break, our training process continues more intensively and focused on details. In particular, serious work is being done on organization, concentration and tactical discipline. Every football player understands what we need to improve in order to achieve maximum results in the second half of the season. We have already played several friendly games. The most positive thing about these meetings was the team's organization and compact game. Our communication on the field increased, we performed disciplined, and we played more united and more confidently both in attack and defense," he said in a statement to futbolinfo.az.
The defender also spoke about his responsibility as the season progresses:
"I feel a greater responsibility on myself now. As time goes by, you understand your role on the field more clearly. This responsibility makes me more careful, communicate more with my teammates and set an example on the field. In the first half, my strengths were my sense of commitment, responsible performance in defense and trying to support the team in difficult moments. However, like every football player, I also have aspects to work on - especially in terms of decision-making in some episodes and maintaining concentration at the same level throughout the game. My motivation comes from a sense of responsibility and belief in the team. I know my role well and difficulties encourage me to work harder. I am focused on improving and being useful to the team every day, because that is the only way to change the situation."
Finally, Amoah shared his thoughts on the second half:
"If I had the opportunity to change one thing in Gabala's game in the second round, it would be stability. Especially if we manage the game more correctly when we have a score advantage, we can turn the result of many matches in our favor. We intend to react more strongly on the field, be aggressive, focused and controlled. We want to fight for every point from the first minute to the last second. I think that improving this aspect can play a decisive role in completing our good games with positive results."
