Iranian footballer Peyman Keshavarzi, who previously played for "Sumgayit", "Sabail", "Kapaz" and "Karvan", has been arrested. Sport24.az reports that the Rusen Press publication has reported on this.
The defender, who plays for the Iranian club "KIA", was detained last week in Tabriz by employees of the State Security Service.
Although the reason for the arrest has not been officially announced, it is reported that Peyman spoke out in anti-government protests in Iran.
