The Iranian Football Federation has informed FIFA about the destruction of the country's sports, including football infrastructure, as a result of the military conflict. According to Sport24.az, the ISNA agency reported this.
The letter sent to the supreme football body stated:
"We feel deep regret and sadness that the Iranian sports infrastructure, especially football, has been seriously damaged as a result of the illegal military attack on the sacred land of the Islamic Republic of Iran."
It should be noted that, considering the current geopolitical situation, the Iranian national team refused to play in the WC-2026 some time ago.
