The Iranian Football Federation has addressed an official appeal to the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).
Idman.Biz reports that the federation stated in its letter to FIFA that football infrastructure in the country has been severely damaged.
It was noted that military attacks have caused great damage, especially to the football field:
"With deep sorrow and regret, we report that as a result of an illegal military attack against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, sports infrastructure, especially the football sector, has suffered serious destruction," the appeal said.
It should be reminded that the "Azadi Sports Complex", one of the largest stadiums in Tehran, was subjected to air strikes some time ago, and the arena was severely damaged.
