Sergey Ovchinnikov, head of the Coaching Department of the Russian Football Union, stated that they invited Jose Mourinho, the head coach of Fenerbahce, to coaching courses in Russia.
Lent.az reports with reference to foreign media that Ovchinnikov, answering the question "Is it true that Guardiola will take courses in Russia?", said: "We are in contact with many head coaches and directors. We recently spoke with Jurgen Klopp."
Continuing his explanation, Ovchinnikov emphasized: "Coaches travel all over the world. I have never heard them refuse to do such a thing. They would be happy to come to Russia, but you know the current political situation. When everything is settled, they will gladly come too. We are in frequent contact with many coaches, but the situation in the world must be different for face-to-face meetings."
Answering the question "Is Jurgen Klopp ready to come to Russia?", the Russian official said, "I don't think he will refuse if we invite him."
Answering the question about whether there were other coaches they invited to Russia, Ovchinnikov said: "Not personally, but we recently spoke with Mourinho."
Regarding the question of what Mourinho's answer might be, Ovchinnikov replied: "He said "good". He said he was ready to come to Russia."
