Milan "Inter" president Giuseppe Marotta stated that the "San Siro" stadium is outdated and urgently needs to be replaced with a new one. Sport24.az reports that he emphasized that the stadium can no longer host competitions such as the Champions League final and the 2032 European Championship.
Marotta said that the new arena will be built near "San Siro", and the financing will be covered by both clubs - "Milan" and "Inter". According to him, the project will bring great benefits to the city in terms of infrastructure, tourism and jobs.
The president added that stadium renovation in Italy lags behind Europe, which negatively affects the competitiveness of clubs.
