The famous "San Siro" stadium, where "Inter" and "Milan" play their home games, will be demolished. Sport24.az reports that journalist Tancredi Palmeri wrote about this on the X social network.
The Milan City Council has decided to sell the stadium to both clubs. According to Palmeri, "Inter" and "Milan" are planning to demolish the existing arena and build a new stadium in its place. According to the Italian publication "Il Messaggero", a more functional and modern arena will be put into operation by the 2032 European Championship.
It should be noted that "San-Siro" was built in 1926 and underwent major reconstruction work in 1956 and 1989. The arena has a capacity of more than 80,000 spectators. It hosted the World Cup in 1934 and 1990, the European Championship in 1980, as well as two European Champions Cup finals and two Champions League finals.
It should be reminded that the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games on February 6, 2026, will also be held at "San-Siro".
