An intellectual competition dedicated to the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year was held among sports journalists, organized by the Professional Football League and "Misli". Sport24.az reports that the tournament, attended by more than 60 media representatives, was interesting and memorable.
At the competition held at the Shamakhi training center of the State Tax Service, the teams were given the names of 12 teams participating in the 2025/26 season of the Azerbaijan Premier League. The competition, which was based entirely on questions dedicated to Azerbaijani football, saw a tense struggle until the end.
Thus, the winner was determined in the "golden game". In the end, the "Sumgayit" team won, "Sabah" took second place, and "Kapaz" took third place.
At the end of the event, the champion "Sumgayit" team was presented with a cup and medals.
In addition to the winner, the owners of the second and third places also won cash prizes in the tournament.
