Arsenal defender Gabriel has been forced to leave the Brazilian national team camp due to injury. Sport24.az reports that the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has released an official statement about this.
The 28-year-old footballer felt sharp pains in his right knee after the English League Cup final match against Manchester City (0:2). Medical examinations and imaging tests revealed that the defender would not be able to participate in the friendly matches against France and Croatia.
The CBF announced that no new player would be called up to the squad in his place.
