FIFA President Gianni Infantino met with the players of the Iranian national team and the Vice President of the Iranian Football Federation, Mohammad Nabi. Sport24.az reports that the head of the supreme football body shared this on his social media account:
"I was very pleased to meet with the players of the Iranian national team before the friendly match against Costa Rica. I had the opportunity to talk to the players, as well as the First Vice President of the Iranian Football Federation, Mehdi Mohammad Nabi. I once again congratulated the Iranian national team for qualifying for the World Cup and for making millions of people in Iran and around the world proud. Football brings unity and hope even in the most difficult circumstances."
