FIFA President Gianni Infantino has commented on Iran's participation in the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that Iran had previously mentioned the possibility of its national team withdrawing from the 2026 World Cup, considering the current geopolitical situation.
"Of course, Iran must come. They represent their nation. They have qualified. The players want to play," said Infantino.
Iran is scheduled to face Belgium, New Zealand, and Egypt in Group G.
The 2026 World Cup will be held this summer in three countries - the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Argentina is the current world champion.
