The 2025 World Championship among football players under 20, held in Chile, ended with the Moroccan national team winning the title for the first time in its history. Sport24.az reports that during the award ceremony, FIFA presented individual awards to the best players of the tournament.
Thus, 20-year-old Argentinian Santino Barbi was chosen as the best goalkeeper. He participated in all seven matches of the tournament, conceded three goals and kept a clean sheet in four matches. Moroccan winger Othmane Maamma was named the best player of the competition. The Silver Ball, awarded to the second-best player at the Youth World Championship, went to his teammate, striker Yasir Zabiri. Argentinian midfielder Milton Delgado was named the third-best of the tournament.
The top scorers of the youth championship were four players with five goals each: Moroccan national team striker Yasir Zabiri, French striker Lucas Michal, Neyser Villarreal from Colombia U-20, and American midfielder Benja Cremaschi.
