India's national football team and clubs face the threat of being excluded from international competitions.
According to "Report" citing "Press Trust of India", this is due to the fact that the requirements of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) regarding the amendment of the charter have not yet been met.
FIFA and AFC expressed concern in a letter addressed to Kalyan Chaubey, the president of the Indian Football Federation, about the lack of progress in adopting the new charter.
Also, if the requirements for the adoption and ratification of the new charter are not met by October 30, India's application to host the 2036 Summer Olympics will be canceled by the International Olympic Committee.
